Observations:

When I purchased this bag from a friend. I decided I was in the market for a larger bag. I knew what I was getting into. It is just that a large bag. It doesn’t wear as large on the body as I thought it would. It’s pretty comfy. The leather is amazing. I love the feel of it and the color. It’s a lovely bag. It’s so slouchy and smooshy. My first reaction was to see how much I could stuff it. It got heavy quickly with all the stuff I could fit in. The bag it self isn’t all that heavy. The contents made it heavy. This bag would be ideal to carry all your everyday things plus something like a sweater or extra ballet flats. It felt a bit too unwieldy when I put my laptop in it. It’s an easy going bag. It’s a little boho but could also be styled for a classic look. I guess it all depends on the color. Olive is so earthy looking it’s hard not to think boho hippie when you see it.

Strap Comfort: Very comfortable over the shoulder. It might be tight over a winter coat.

Observations:

This bag wasn’t intended for me but the person I bought it for found it to be a bit too large for her. I thought I would give it a whirl before I put it on the chopping block. I’m actually pretty surprised by it. I like the functionality of it. It’s got plenty of exterior pockets and the large spacious interior can hold just about everything I would want to carry on a daily basis. The one thing I’m unsure about is the color. I don’t know that this color is really me. It’s a blue, silver metallic color. I wish they made an all non metallic version of this bag. I’d be all over that. Til now I’m going to keep this in my collection and break it out when I want some bling on my shoulder.

Bag Observations: Jerome Dreyfuss Twee Silk & Leather, Marron

Strap Comfort: Very comfortable over the shoulder even with a heavy coat.

Additional Features: dual strap adjustment, flap straps secured with magnet  (see picture), lots of pockets, great size.

Observations:

This bag has become a new obsession! I love it! It looks small at first glance but it really holds a lot for it’s size. For the pictures I didn’t cram it as full as I could get it. I could a whole lot more if I wanted to. It’s amazing. It’s so unique looking. It’s got dual adjustable straps. I wish it worked crossbody on me but that is my one and only complaint for this bag. It sits perfectly on my shoulder. I could wear this bag in both summer and winter no problems with slippage. The closure is also very unique it’s got 2 straps on the flap which can lead into a buckle to keep the flap secure or you can thread it through once and let the magnets under the flap do the work. (see picture). The flap closure means that the opening is wide enough to not have to wedge things in. It’s open and airy and you can see everything that is in the bag. No digging around to find what you need it’s all there. The back pocket is secured with a snap closure but it’s not magnetic so it’s perfect for an iphone. It’s got 2 side pockets on either side. I haven’t yet found a use for these as they are small but it certainly lends to the unique look of the bag. I can’t wait to add an all leather version of this bag to my collection. As for the silk and it’s durability: This is an older model of this bag and I purchased it as used. It doesn’t really show much wear at all. There is some slight is coloration near the magnets under the flap from wear but overall I’m pretty happy with it.

Observations:

I once upon a time had this same bag in Cognac. It was a dream bag but I had too many bags in this orangey leather color. I preferred my hayden harnett yam tharpe so I crossed my fingers and breathed as I let that one go in hopes that hayden harnett would make this bag in more colors. My dream came true. They made the newman in a new color. Magic Dot. As first I was unsure if it’s like this colorway but I took another chance and won. It’s a winner! The texture is very unique it almost feels like they printed the darker spots on top of suede. I’m not sure what the technique is but it’s a very cool effect. The bag is soft but not too soft as it still retains it’s shape even when there is nothing in it. That is what I really like about this hobo. It’s slightly boxy. In most hobos I end up loosing things because they aren’t structured at all but this one holds it shape making it easy to find everything inside. The interior organization really helps too. There are lots of pockets. A pocket for everything I need at my finger tips. Back Zipper pocket for my phone, one of the front pockets for my keys and receipts and on the interior it’s got open slot pockets for a small bottle of hand sanitizer and other little goodies. The size of this bag is perfect. Not too big and not too small. I can even fit my Dell Mini Netbook inside. Granted when I’ve got that in my bag it leaves only a small amount of space of other stuff like a wallet, carryall. As seen in the pictures. It can hold a ton with this much stuff it’s a little hard to get the turnlock to close but really I don’t think that this bag was designed to hold this much stuff anyway so it’s my bad and not a design flaw. I’m going to give this bag super high marks and say that yes I would be willing to buy more colors of this bag we will just have to wait and see if they do this bag in more colors.I’m crossing my fingers!!

Observations:

Oh I forgot to add my observations about this bag. So I’m editing to add this. I borrowed this from a friend and I almost didn’t want to give it back. I really liked the shape of the MAC. It’s slim it looks great being worn casual or dressed up. I really liked how I could convert this into a long shoulder bag a short shoulder bag and I could completely remove the strap to use as a clutch. At first I was a little hesitant to use this since the color is so light and the strap drop I was using would put the leather right on my jeans. I protected it and moved on. I switch out all my normal stuff for slimmer wallets and carryalls. Which works brilliantly with the shape of the bag. It wasn’t hard to find things inside and it’s got great interior organization. I could find my phone in a jiffy. Some people carry this bag everyday. I can’t imagine doing that. I guess I like a little more room for an everyday bag but for special occasions, going out to dinner or meeting up with friends. This bag is perfect. I’m still looking for that perfect color in the style. I’m going to take my time and shop around to find that perfect combo of leather color and hardware. This bag is a must have for every closet. It’s very versatile.
